Service Staff

๐Ÿงพ Bids

Bidding that shows whoโ€™s behind the quote.

Background

Why

In most rental platforms, service workers are invisible (or don't even exist). And tradespeople or cleaners? They have no idea how jobs get chosen or if theyโ€™re even being seen.

โ€Bids give control to both sides:
- Landlords and tenants can choose who they want to work with
- Service staff can pitch their price, timing, and value; not just race to the bottom line.

Itโ€™s not about undercutting โ€” itโ€™s about transparency, reputation, and fit.

What

Every job posted can receive bids from service staff. Each bid contains:
- ๐Ÿ’ท Quoted price
- โณ Estimated turnaround
- ๐Ÿ—“ Availability window
- ๐Ÿ’ฌ Optional notes or pitch
- โญ๏ธ Ratings + prior job history
- ๐Ÿ›  Specialisations (e.g. boiler certified, flooring, etc.)

Users can view bids, compare them, and accept one. The system then creates a job assignment and starts tracking the work.

How it works

๐Ÿ“ Job is posted

Landlords or tenants create a job, detailing what needs to be done and by when. Service staff are notified automatically.

๐ŸŽฏ Service staff bid

Service staff submit bids with pricing, turnaround time, and optional notes. You see who they are โ€” not just what they charge.

๐Ÿ‘๏ธ Bid status visibility

Every bid is tracked: submitted, rejected, expired, or accepted. Youโ€™ll always know where things stand โ€” no more black boxes.

๐Ÿš€ Once accepted, job begins

Once a bid is accepted, the job kicks off. Everyone gets notified, and the work is tracked and recorded from start to finish.

User Benefits

๐Ÿ” Transparency

Bids include reviews, portfolios, turnaround times, and previous job history โ€” giving you more than just a number to go on.

๐Ÿ›  Choices

Service staff can put their best foot forward. Landlords and tenants pick based on more than just price.

๐Ÿ“ˆ Performance incentives

Every completed bid adds to your public track record โ€” making future work easier to win (or avoid).
