🔍 Verification

When you need to really know, not just assume.

Background

Why

In renting, everyone wants reassurance — that people are who they say they are, earn what they claim to, and own what they list. But that trust has to be earned, not assumed.

Verification lets you request or submit proof for the things that matter most — identity, income, property ownership, right to rent, and more. Whether you’re protecting your home, your lease, or your deposit, F.estate gives you the option to verify and be verified.

We don’t promise legal finality — but we do surface the appropriate information with privacy in mind, and if you need to do a deeper dive, we let you take that off the platform.

What

There are 8 verification types available:
- Identity (Automated!)
- Income
- Right to Rent
- Title Deed Check
- Early Lease Termination
- Existing Lease Transfer

For tenants, you only have to fill out your referencing information once, and then you have a window to submit your offers! No refilling your referencing after every accepted offer!

Landlords, access pre-qualified tenants! Everyone wins.

How it works

🪪 Identity checks on registration

Before using the platform, all users are asked to verify their identity using a valid ID. This helps maintain a safer and more trustworthy community from the outset.

📂 Tenants complete Income + Right to Rent

Before tenants apply for a lease, they’re prompted to submit income verification (employed, self-employed, or student) and Right to Rent documents (share code or immigration status). These are attached to the offer and visible to landlords before accepting.

🧭 Track verification status

Landlords, tenants, and staff can see the verification’s status and respond accordingly. Expired or incomplete submissions are flagged automatically.

User Benefits

✅ Accountability

Get proof without awkward messages. Verification prompts appear inside product flows, not inboxes.

🔒 Privacy-conscious

Only the relevant parties can see what’s submitted — and only when it matters.

💼 Multiple formats supported

Whether it's a share code, tax return, or government ID — the system supports the real-life ways people provide evidence.
